By means of a web interface, authorized KPN employees can manage all cable distribution cabinets in the country via their internal network. Technolution realises this nationwide management system and preserved the basic infrastructure.

Failsafe server system

These cabinets have been secured with entrance- and burglary surveillance. This distributed monitoring- and management system is linked via a new secure Virtual Private Network to a failsafe server system in which the newly developed software is installed.

Simple and flexible

For KPN this renewal means that the safety obligations can easily be met while retaining the greater part of the existing hardware. Even with more functionality, flexibility and a lower total cost structure. This solution can serve as a pattern for existing and new distributed systems.
