Tracking & Tracing
Rijkswaterstaat's responsibilities include incident management on the Dutch road network. To this end, it deploys road stewards in specially equipped vehicles. Technolution is developing an onboard unit which can be used to track and trace these vehicles.

Our system allows road traffic managers to localise and deploy road stewards and their vehicles, making incident management more efficient and effective. Within this process, it is important to be able to determine both the location and the status of the vehicles.
Technologies used:
- MobiBoxx-II technology (link to Mobiboxx).
We used the MobiBoxx as the basis for the on-board unit: this is our in-car development platform. For the operation, we used a MobiDisplay with a graphical user interface based on a touch-screen.
